Artist's Statement

I think of Nature
as natural scenery,
a force in the universe
as well as the inherent character of a person.
In creating art,
I examined the connection between Nature and Soul
because I feel they both seem to know me
and hence form my identity.

When I attempt to express myself through art,
I experience a deeper level of joy,
as though the impressions of my soul are reflected in my art.

My purpose here is to convey my impressions of Nature
through form and intense colors in Nature that move me.
Strong colors are my visual language
allowing me to express intense emotions about Nature
that connect with the spiritual force of the soul.

The soul immersed in the splendors of colors of Nature
feeds me peace and bliss.
If the soul of humankind is the same,
then I hope we all can find ourselves
in the same profound state of joy and enlightenment.
