Helen Knapp
  
Born and educated in the Northeast, Helen Knapp has been involved in the world of art 
since childhood. Helen has been fortunate to have studied at the NY Art Student's League, 
Montclair Art Museum in NJ, and has had extensive instruction under the direction 
of Daniel Greene, world famous portrait artist. 
  
Recipient of numerous awards including featured artist for Edible Arts in Durham, 
The Mayor's Award in Cary, and an honorable mention in the juried Spring Fine Arts 
Show in Cary, NC., she has also enjoyed several solo exhibitions. Helen is a past vice-president and current corresponding secretary of the Pastel Society of North Carolina, and a member of the Durham Art Council,  the Orange County Arts Commission, the Orange County Artists Guild, and the Southeastern Pastel Society.
