ANDREI ACRIS
Andrei Acris was born in Romania in 1983. He moved to Montreal, Canada in 1992, where two years later he started painting at the age of 11. Andrei has painted mostly everyday since and is devoting his time entirely to painting.
His body of work has a contemplative quality. While his landscapes and paintings are of the stylized vibrantly colored studies, there is the timeless sensuality that pervades in his human figurative work. The exquisite play of light is a significant aspect of his paintings. |

Andrei has been active in the art community in the Raleigh area. He has had several arts awards recently, including a Visual Arts Exchange award. He has also participated in art exhibitions with the First Citizens Bank and Jill Flink Gallery, as well as exhibited with the sculptor, Richard Green, in Cary, NC.
